V Rising regularly pushes updates, and while these updates provide exciting opportunities to jump into fresh servers or wipe existing ones, they also give you a chance to plan when the server will wipe. By knowing when server wipes will occur, server owners can set their Castle Settings and decay rate accordingly; with long-running servers, it may be wise to turn off the decay rate entirely so players can jump right in. Alternatively, making the rate faster could ensure that new players always have land to claim.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Config Files tab and select Game Settings.
4. From the "CastleDecayRateModifier": line, set the desired value. A higher value makes castles decay faster, lower value for a slow rate, or 0 to turn off decay entirely.
5. Next to CastleBloodEssenceDrainModifier, enter the desired value. The value affects how quickly castles use essence reserves.
Note: Essence drain has a minimum value of
0.1, values below this will cause the server to crash on startup.
6. Press the Save button.
