Staying on the Legacy 1.0 version on a V Rising server allows players to access and continue using their existing save files created before the Invaders of Oakveil 1.1 update. Major game updates often bring fundamental changes that make older saves incompatible with the new systems, map alterations, and features. Choosing the Legacy 1.0 option enables players to preserve their significant progress. While this legacy version provides access to past accomplishments, it does not allow players to experience the newest content on those older saves; a new save on the current version is required for that.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. On the Steam Beta ID table, input the branch name:
PC: legacy-1.0.x-pc
Playstation: legacy-1.0.x-ce
5. Start the server.
