Some game clients may experience connection timeouts when connecting to Satisfactory dedicated servers. The cause of the error could be various factors that are often hard to track. Fortunately, the maximum amount of time a player is allowed for connection attempts is modifiable. This means players can set any amount of time to connect, nullifying the usual disconnects when players take a while.
Note: Make backups locally to save any necessary files.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/FactoryGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer
5. Open the Game.ini file.
6. Paste the following in a new line:
InitialConnectTimeout=180.0
ConnectionTimeout=120.07. Press the Save button.
8. Start the server.
Optional Client Steps
1. Launch Satisfactory.
2. Select Options.
3. Go to the Gameplay tab.
4. Next to Network Quality, choose Ultra from the dropdown menu.
5. Click Apply.
