On regular Factorio servers, players must have a valid Factorio.com account to connect. This requirement helps maintain security and accountability within the gaming community. However, suppose you want to allow players to connect without an account. In that case, you can set your server to offline mode, which relaxes this requirement and provides more flexibility in your server's access policies.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.
4. Next to the "require_user_verification" line, change the value to false.
5. Under the "visibility" line, change the value for public to false.
6. Press the Save button.
7. Start the server.
