Making a Factorio server public involves configuring your server settings to allow external players to connect and play on it. To do this, you typically need to set your server's visibility to "Public" in the server settings and ensure your server is accessible via the internet with the necessary port forwarding. It's essential to be mindful of server security, as making it public can expose it to a broader audience, potentially requiring moderation and protection against unwanted intrusions or griefing.
Note: Ensure that the server matches the game version. A version mismatch will not allow the client to see or connect to the server.
1. Log in to the Factorio website.
Note: Choose Log in using Steam if the game is owned on Steam.
2. Go to the Profile tab here.
3. Next to the Token line, click reveal and copy the token.
4. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
5. Stop the server.
6. Go to the Startup tab.
7. From the Token field, paste the copied token from step 3.
8. On the Username field, enter the Factorio username from step 2.
