Changing the Storyteller on a RimWorld Together server allows players to set the game's narrative pacing and challenge their group's preferences. Each storyteller establishes the frequency and type of events, ranging from pirate raids and resource drops to manhunter packs and diseases, thus setting a different tone and rhythm for the colony's survival story. This flexibility allows the players in a RimWorld Together session to find a narrative style that best suits their desired level of drama, building, or sheer unpredictability for their cooperative playthrough.
1. Join the server as an admin.
2. Select the admin icon in the top right corner.
3. Click Difficulty Manager.
4. Press No.
5. Press ESC twice and select Options.
6. Go to the Gameplay tab.
7. On Storyteller settings, click Modify.
8. Choose a storyteller and hit Close.
9. Press OK.
Note: Skip the following steps below unless setting the same storyteller for all players.
10. Return to the admin icon in the top right corner.
11. Click Difficulty Manager.
12. Select Yes.
