Adding a password to an Astroneer server is especially useful for dedicated servers. While co-op games are friends-only, dedicated servers can be accessed by anyone if no server whitelist or password is set. This makes securing an Astroneer server a priority for those who wish to play a private game with friends. Otherwise, random players could join worlds and destroy buildings or waste resources.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. From the Server Password field, input the desired password.
5. Start the server.
