Starting an AI traffic map on an Assetto Corsa server brings dynamic, realistic traffic to the game, enhancing immersion and allowing players to simulate city driving or highway scenarios. It creates a lively environment where users can practice overtaking, maneuvering through traffic, and improving their driving skills. This setup adds depth to the gameplay, making it ideal for role-playing or realistic driving simulations within Assetto Corsa.
Requirement: Assetto Corsa Modded is required. Learn how to here.
1. Download the desired AI traffic map. AI traffic maps will have an ai folder.
2. Extract the downloaded file.
3. Minimize the folder to use later in the tutorial.
4. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
5. Stop the server.
6. Go to the Files tab.
7. Launch SFTP. Learn how to here.
8. Find the following directory: /content/tracks .
9. Drag and drop the map folder from step 3.
10. Open the desired local race map folder on the map folder from step 3.
Note: Some map folders do not have a race map folder. In this case, the map and race maps folders are the same.
11. Minimize the folder to use later in the tutorial.
12. Return to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
13. Go to the Files tab.
14. Find the following directory with the folder from step 9: /home/container/content/tracks/MapFolder .
15. Upload the ai folder from step 11.
Note: Each race map has a particular ai folder. Replace this folder when changing race maps.
16. Return to the Files tab root.
17. Find the following directory: /home/container/content/cars .
18. Take note of the car model names.
19. Return to the Files tab root.
20. Open the cfg folder.
21. Choose extra_cfg.yml.
22. Next to EnableAI:, input true.
23. Under the AIParams: line, edit the desired settings.
24. Press the Save button.
25. Return to the cfg folder.
26. Open the entry_list.yml file.
27. Enter the desired cars from step 18, separated by a new line.

29. Press the Save button.
30. Go to the Config Files tab and select Server Settings.
31. Next to the CARS= line, enter the listed cars from step 27, separated by a comma.
32. Next to TRACK=, enter the map folder name from step 3.
33. Next to CONFIG_TRACK=, enter the race map folder name from step 11. If there is no race map folder, leave this blank.
34. Edit any other desired settings. Some AI maps only work in Practice sessions.
35. Press the Save button.
