Arma 3 offers a range of difficulty levels to suit players' preferences and skill levels. The difficulty settings affect various aspects of the game, such as the enemy AI's skill level, player health and stamina, and the amount of ammunition and supplies available. Additionally, some servers may have custom difficulty settings, offering players a unique and personalized experience. Server admins can also change up the default missions on the server.
How to Change the Difficulty on an Arma 3 Server (Default Difficulties)
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.
4. From the // Missions Cycle line, change the difficulty from one of the following 4 options: Recruit, Regular, Veteran, or Elite.
5. Press the Save button.
6. Start the server.
How to Change the Difficulty on an Arma 3 Server (Custom Difficulty)
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.
4. From the // Missions Cycle line, change the difficulty to custom.
5. Press the Save button.
6. Go to the Files tab.
7. Find the following directory: /home/container/serverprofile/home/Player .
8. Open the Player.Arma3Profile file. Player will be the playername of the server owner.
