The 2.0 update on 7 Days to Die added the much-anticipated Spawn Near Friends setting. This feature allows players starting a new game on a server to begin their survival journey near one another. Previously, players spawned in entirely different biomes, making it difficult and time-consuming to find each other on the expansive, randomly generated maps. By enabling this option, players can immediately begin working as a team to gather resources, build a base, and defend against the relentless zombie hordes.
Note: The server must be on the experimental branch. Learn how to here.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Config Files tab and select Server Config.
4. Under Game Rules, on the <property name="AllowSpawnNearFriend" line, edit to the desired value.
0: Disabled1: Allows new players to join the server near a friend2: Allows new players to join the server near a friend in the forest biome
5. Press the Save button.
