7 Days to Die features a unique, in-depth RPG system for gaining XP and leveling up characters. This system allows players to choose build-defining perks that can alter how they play combat or award new influential blueprints and crafting recipes. While the XP rates themselves can be changed to award more or less XP, there are also mod options that remove the XP loss on death. This allows for a much less punishing experience, especially for players new to the game, who can jump in without fear of losing progress.
Note: Version 3.0 uses sandbox presets to control gameplay settings.
