7 Days to Die, a survival horror game, offers players a diverse and immersive experience through overhaul mods. These mods, such as Age of Oblivion and Darkness Falls, significantly transform the game by introducing new locations, enemies, weapons, and gameplay mechanics. Whether aiming for increased difficulty, realistic survival elements, or a more in-depth progression system, these overhaul mods cater to different player preferences, providing a fresh and challenging take on the post-apocalyptic world of 7 Days to Die.
Requirement: Visit the 7 Days to Die selector for recommended RAM allocations.
Note: Resetting the server before installing overhaul mods is recommended to ensure compatibility.
How to Install an Overhaul Mod on a 7 Days to Die Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. In the Beta Branch field, input the corresponding version for the overhaul mod:

Note: More overhaul mods will be added in the future.
5. Go to the Home tab.
6. Press the Update Server button.
7. Confirm Update. Wait for the server to finish updating.
8. Start the server.
9. Once fully booted, stop the server.
10. Go to the Mods tab.
11. Install the desired overhaul mod.
12. Press the Install button to confirm.
13. Wait a few minutes.
14. Start the server.
How to Install an Overhaul Mod on a 7 Days to Die Server (Manual)
1. Download the desired overhaul mod here.
Note: Most overhaul mods require EAC to be disabled. Learn how to here.
2. Take note of the mod's version and other dependencies. Follow any additional installation instructions from the Overhaul mod, if any.
3. Unzip the downloaded mod from step 1 into a new folder.
4. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
5. Stop the server.
6. Go to the Startup tab.
7. In the Beta Branch field, input the version required for the mod from step 2.
8. Go to the Home tab.
9. Press the Update Server button.
10. Confirm Update. Wait for the update to finish.
11. Start the server.
12. After a complete start, stop the server.
13. Go to the Files tab.
14. Connect to the server using an SFTP. Learn how to here.
15. Upload the mod files from step 3 into the Mods folder.
Note: Previous installations of the mod must be removed.
16. Return to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
17. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.
18. On the "GameName" line, change the value to a new name. This will make a new save in the desired world.
19. Press the Save button.
