Downloading a save file from a 7 Days to Die server allows communities to preserve their progress and upload it to a different server. Players can retrieve these files to continue a multiplayer world in a local single-player session. Securing a local copy acts as an essential backup against unexpected data corruption or scheduled server wipes.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/.local/share/7DaysToDie/Saves
5. Open the current world folder. An RWG map will have a random name.
6. Download the save folder.
7. Minimize the .zip file to use later in the tutorial.
8. Open the Run menu by pressing the Windows + R keys.
