Minecraft servers have a level type known as flat or superflat that does not generate any natural terrain or structures. This makes it an option for hub worlds when creating custom worlds, as it is a blank canvas for players to develop their own creations. Superflat worlds spawn no resources on their own, so consider using creative mode, custom commands, or specific mods to grant players resources for building.
Note: The guide below only generates a flat overworld. To include dimensions, see here.
How to Create a Superflat World on a Minecraft Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Properties.
4. In the Level Type field, enter flat.
5. In the World Name field, enter a new name.
