Creating an A record for a game server establishes a direct link between a memorable domain name and the server's specific numeric IP address. While an SRV record defines specific ports and services, a standard A record serves as the foundational mapping that points a hostname to a physical destination. This setup provides a professional entry point for a community and ensures stable connectivity even if the server's underlying hardware changes.
Requirement: The server must have a dedicated IP. For servers without a dedicated IP, learn how to create an SRV Record here.

How to Create an A Record in the Billing Panel
1.<\/strong> Melden Sie Sich Am BisectHosting Starbase-PanelAn.
2.<\/strong> Select the desired server to add an A Record.
3.<\/strong> Notieren Sie sich die IP-Adresse im Startseite-Tab.
4.<\/strong> Melden Sie sich beim BisectHosting-Abrechnungspanel an.
From the Domains dropdown, choose My Domains.
6.<\/strong> Select the desired domain.
7. Under Hosting Information, go to the DNS Management tab.
8.<\/strong> Press the Add A New A Record button.
9.<\/strong> Next to Hostname, input the desired name prefix. Use @ to specify no hostname.
10.<\/strong> In the IPv4 Address field, enter the IP from step 3 without the port. Remove the colon and the numbers after it from the IP Address.
11.<\/strong> Next to TTL, input 14400. The value can be changed if knowledgeable.
12. Click Add Record.
How to Create an A Record in the cPanel
1. Melde dich beim BisectHosting Starbase Panel an.
2. Select the desired server to add an A Record.
3. From the Home tab, take note of the IP Address.
4. Log in to cPanel.
5. From the Domains dropdown, choose Zone Editor.
6. Next to the desired domain, select +A Record.
7. In the Name field, enter the desired hostname using the domain suffix.
8. Under Address, input the IP from step 3 without the port. Remove the colon and the numbers after it from the IP Address.
9. Press the Add An A Record button.
