Creating a custom modpack in the Prism Launcher lets players build a personalized version of Minecraft. Because the launcher uses isolated instances, new modifications or untested combinations can be tested without risking corruption of other save files. This separation also makes it easier to organize the specific resource packs, shaders, and configuration files tied to a single project.
1. Launch Prism Launcher.
2. Press Add Instance.
3. Go to the Custom tab.
4. Choose a Minecraft version.
5. Pick a Mod Loader.
6. Name the pack and hit OK.
7. Wait for the game files to finish installing.
8. Select the modpack and click Edit.
9. Go to the Mods tab.
10. Click Download Mods.
11. Mark the desired mods and press Review and confirm.
12. Confirm the mods selection and click OK.
13. Once done, hit Launch.
