Adding spectator slots to a Natural Selection 2 server allows new players to learn the game's steep learning curve by observing experienced veterans. Functionally, these slots serve as a dynamic waiting room, allowing players to remain connected to a full server while waiting for a team spot to become available, rather than disconnecting.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Startup tab.
4. On the Max Spectators field, input a number of spectators. The default is 0.
5. Start the server.
