Team Fortress 2: Gold Rush is a community-created sourcemod for Team Fortress 2 that restores the game’s atmosphere and balance of the early 2010s era. Unlike the current version of TF2, the mod strips away excessive cosmetics and modern weapons to focus on a curated, vintage sandbox. When playing on a Gold Rush server, players experience the original painterly art style and lighting, which emphasizes the 1960s spy-movie aesthetic often lost in the current game. The gameplay is centered on fundamental class mechanics and teamwork, offering a nostalgic and streamlined alternative to the chaotic variety of standard casual matchmaking.

Note: All server configs and addons must be placed in their respective subdirectories under Team Fortress 2 Gold Rush Dedicated Server/tf_goldrush/.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. On the Enable Modding Addons table, select Enabled.

5. On the Load Game table, choose Team Fortress 2: Gold Rush.

6. Start the server.

How to Install the TF2: Gold Rush mod on a Team Fortress 2 Client

1. From the Steam Library, select Team Fortress 2 and click Store Page.

2. Under the Community-Made Mods section, pick Team Fortress 2: Gold Rush.

3. Press Install now.
