SCP: 5K servers can assign players as 'owners' which grants the highest level of permissions on the server. Owners can change multiple crucial server settings, such as adding admins, saving configs, and more. Adding owners by their SteamID is generally a more secure method, as player name can be spoofed to allow players to join a server.

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Choose the Config Files dropdown menu and select Owner IDs.

4. In a new line, enter a user's SteamID64 to add them to the list.

5. Once finished editing, choose Save.

6. Start the server.

How to Add a User as an Owner (In-Game)

Note: The /owner command can only be run by other owners.

1. When connected to the server, press Enter to open the chatbox.

2. Enter the command: /owner [PlayerName/SteamID64]. Learn how to find a player's SteamID here.

3. The console will confirm that the player has been added.
