Transferring an Xbox Game Pass save to an Abiotic Factor dedicated server allows players to persist their progress in a 24/7 environment without requiring the original host to be online. Since Game Pass saves are stored in a proprietary format, this process involves locating the specific local data and renaming files to match the Steam-compatible naming convention used by servers. Once uploaded successfully, the character’s gear, base construction, and scientific milestones remain intact and are accessible seamlessly across platforms by the entire group.
1. Open the Run menu by pressing the Windows + R keys on the keyboard.
2. Enter the following: %LocalAppData%/Packages/PlayStack.AbioticFactor_3wcqaesafpzfy/SystemAppData/wgs
Note: The file path may be slightly different for each user. If the above path doesn't work, search for the 'PlayStack.AbioticFactor' folder in the Local AppData directory.
3. Open the numbered folder. This is where saves are stored.
4. Compress all files to a zipped folder.
5. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
6. Stop the server.
7. Go to the Files tab.
8. Open the GamePassSaves folder.
9. Upload the .zip folder by dragging and dropping.
10. Right-click the folder and choose Unarchive.
11. Go to the Startup tab.
12. Change the World Name to the desired save.
13. Start the server.
14. The Console will confirm that the file is being converted.
