Uploading a local save to a VEIN dedicated server means transferring existing progress, including the character, base, and world state, into a persistent online environment. This migration allows for continued cooperative survival with friends on a server that remains active 24/7, regardless of whether a local machine is currently running the game. It also ensures the continuity of the game's file state when moving to the server architecture, where saves must be correctly implemented and named for server recognition.
