Customizing the match settings on a Trackmania server unlocks a range of possibilities for creating unique and engaging racing experiences. Modifying parameters such as the game mode, round, time limits, and other specific rules allows the server to tailor the gameplay to suit the community's preferences. This flexibility introduces variety and keeps the competition fresh and exciting for players.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/UserData/Maps .
5. Take note of the maps from Campaigns or Downloaded. Learn how to add maps here.
6. Open the MatchSettings folder.
7. Copy the example.txt file.
8. Rename the copy to the desired .txt name. Include .txt after the desired name.
9. Open the new settings file.
10. From the script_name tags, enter the desired game mode.

11. From the <map><file> tags, enter the desired map file directories from step 5. Remove any undesired maps that came with the example copy.
For example: <map><file>Campaigns/Training/Training - 01.Map.Gbx</file></map>
Note: The directory will start with Campaigns or Downloaded followed by another map folder if created, or straight to the map file.
12. Enter multiple maps by repeating the <map><file></file></map> tags.
13. Press the Save button.
14. Go to the Startup tab.
15. On the Match Settings field, edit MatchSettings/NAME.txt to the name from step 8.
16. Start the server.
