Editing the server settings on an SCP: Containment Breach 2 server customizes the gameplay experience, ensuring it aligns with the host's preferences and community needs. 1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Select the Config Files tab and choose Server Config.

4. Edit the desired settings.

Setting	Description
`chat`	Allows players to use the chat box.
`corpsealivetime`	Sets the decay timer for dead bodies in seconds. Higher values may cause performance issues.
`timeout`	Sets the player connection timeout in seconds.
`maxplayers`	Sets the max players. `60` is the recommended max due to the MTU limit.
`console`	Allows the console for all players.
`voicebitrate`	Sets the voice bitrate in KBit/s. A lower value will reduce quality but improve network efficiency. Set to `0` for auto or `255` for max quality.
`mapseed`	Inputs the desired map seed. Empty will set a random seed.
`difficulty`	Runs the desired difficulty.
`gamemode`	Sets the name of the gamemode in the server browser.
`emptybehaviour`	Sets the behavior of the server while empty.
`scriptsautoload`	Loads desired scripts from the autoload directory.
`disablenpcs`	Disables NPCs and related events.
`proximityplayers`	Sets the distance players can see each other.
`mapbounds`	Sets the boundary to which the map players will be limited.
`respawntime`	Adds a respawn time in seconds. Input `0` to disable respawns.
`contenturl`	Displays the server's website.
`password`	Adds a password to connect to the server.
`improvedgates`	Enables doubled gates.
`mapsize`	Changes the map size from `6`-`28`.
`description`	Displays a description from the server browser.
`allowjump`	Allows players to make jumps.
`fastslots`	Enables hot slots in the server.
`gravity`	Changes the gravity level multiplier.
`script`	Loads the desired scripts from the directory/filename.
`plugin`	Loads the desired plugins from the directory/filename.

Note: Certain settings are set from the Startup tab which overrides the config.

5. Press the Save button.

6. Start the server.
