Enshrouded offers many different playstyles and techniques for players to explore, resulting in fun and interesting builds. Builds in Enshrouded can be considered classes due to their associated names on the skill tree; this does not prevent the player from choosing skills from other trees. This allows builds to pick up convenient features from other class branches, which results in a much more well-rounded build. For tips on getting started with Enshrouded, check out our Beginner's Guide.

Skill Points
When the player levels up, they will be granted skill points, which can be used to unlock nodes in the Skills Menu (Opened by pressing H). Each available class is listed here, with its name at the end of each branch. Each class has a preferred attribute; attributes are stats that can increase the effectiveness of abilities. All classes' Primary attributes are listed below. Most skill tree nodes require a certain number of attribute points to obtain.
| Class | Primary Attribute |
| Barbarian, Warrior, Athlete, Tank | Strength |
| Trickster, Healer, Battlemage, Wizard | Intelligence |
| Ranger, Beastmaster, Survivor, Assassin | Dexterity |
How to Pick a Class
Classes in Enshrouded don't need to be explicitly chosen or dedicated to. To "pick" a class, simply invest skill points into the branches of a desired class. Typically, however, each class includes a powerful skill that is considered build-defining. The player will receive enough skill points to invest fully into a class and pick up skills from other trees. Below, we've listed the Unique Skills from all trees. Check out the guide here for some of the best class spells available.
