Uploading a custom map to a Rust server can introduce players to new terrain, landmarks, and environments to explore, offering unique challenges and gameplay opportunities. Rust custom maps can range from small-scale arenas to vast open worlds. It offers players new ways to test their survival skills in fresh and unique ways.
Requirement: Upload the Rust map to Dropbox first to provide a direct download link to the server.
1. Upload the .map file to Dropbox.
2. Copy the map download link.
3. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
4. Stop the server.
5. Go to the Startup tab.
6. From the Custom Map URL field, toggle on the field and paste the link from step 3.
7. Change the Dropbox link at the end to dl=1.
8. From the Level section, toggle off the field.
Note: On Rust Carbon servers, simply paste the Custom Map URL, as there will be no toggle options.
9. Start the server.
