Creating a new world on a Palworld server provides a fresh start for all players. This allows everyone to start at the same level and gather materials without having to deal with depleted starting areas. Starting over resolves lingering issues from past game updates and ensures compatibility with new content. Resetting the server progress gives players an opportunity to plan different base designs and experience the survival elements from the beginning.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0
5. Right-click the world folder and hit Rename.
6. Add an underscore (_) before the name and click Rename.
7. Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer
8. Open GameUserSettings.ini.
9. In the DedicatedServerName= line, delete the value and leave it blank.
10. Press Save.
11. Start the server. The server will generate a new world.
How to Load a Previous World on a Palworld Server
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0
5. Right-click the previous world folder and hit Rename.
6. Delete the underscore (_) and click Rename.
7. Copy the world folder name.
8. Select the Settings tab and choose Startup.
9. In the World Save ID field, paste the world folder name from step 7.
