Starbound servers are easily swappable between single-player and multiplayer, and the files are nearly always interchangeable. The only exception is for servers with mods, which require both game versions to install the same mods. This is especially true for those using mods that alter universe files, such as Frackin' Universe. However, if both versions are the same, entire universe saves can be moved from the server to local PCs, or singular planets can be transferred by locating the individual files.
1. Load a Starbound save.
2. Fly or teleport to the desired planet.
3. After landing on the planet, quit the game.
4. From the Steam Library, right-click Starbound and choose Manage > Browse local files.
5. Within the storage folder, open the universe folder.
6. Select Date Modified from the top bar to locate the latest .world file.
7. Take note of the coordinates in the .world filename.
8. Minimize the file to use later in the tutorial.
9. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
10. Stop the server.
11. Go to the Files tab.
12. Find the following directory: /home/container/storage/universe .
13. Drag and drop the .world file from step 8.
14. Start the server.
15. The planet can be found within the game using the coordinates from step 7.
