Starbound servers have the necessary tools for establishing remote connections or 'RCON.' This allows users to connect to a server from an external client and issue commands as if connected to the server. How to Setup RCON on a Starbound Server

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Network tab.

4. Copy any server port excluding the first listed.

5. From the left sidebar, go to Config Files > Server Config.

6. On the runRconServer line, set the value to true.

7. On the rconServerPort line, change the value to the port copied in step 4.

8. On the rconServerPassword line, input a password between the quotations.

9. Press the Save button.

10. Start the server.

How to Connect to RCON on a Starbound Server

1. Download the SourceDS RCON tool.

2. Extract the zip file into an empty folder.

3. Launch srcdsrcon.exe.

4. From the top-left, choose Console, then Servers.

5. Select Add.

6. Enter the required information.

7. Go to Consoles > Servers and select the newly added server.

8. The text New Session will appear when all steps are done correctly.
