Motor Town: Behind the Wheel generally saves progression per character, meaning players can keep most progress when joining different servers. By uploading a local world file, players can retain all aspects of their worlds, making the switch to a dedicated server much smoother. Users may also consider adding a Server Password to prevent troublemakers from ruining existing sessions.
1. Open the Run menu by pressing the Windows + R keys.
2. Enter %localappdata%\MotorTown\Saved\SaveGames and press OK.
3. Open the Worlds folder.
4. Locate the desired local save. Use the recently modified filter to identify the saves.
5. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
6. Stop the server.
7. Go to the Files tab.
8. Find the following directory: home/container/MotorTown/Saved/SaveGames/Worlds .
9. Delete or backup the existing world save.
10. Upload the local save from step 4.
11. Ensure the folder is named 0 by pressing Right-Click > Rename.
12. Start the server.
