Geyser and Floodgate are plugins that allow players to join a Minecraft Java Edition server using a Bedrock Edition client. Geyser is a bridge between the Java and Bedrock Editions of Minecraft. It translates the protocols the two game versions used, allowing Bedrock players to connect to Java servers. Floodgate is a plugin that works with Geyser, providing an authentication system allowing Bedrock players to log into Java servers using their Microsoft or Xbox Live accounts.

Requirement: For Paper or Spigot, ensure that version 1.16.5 or above is installed. 
For Fabric or NeoForge, only the latest versions are compatible.

Note: Geyser currently supports Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.90-1.21.120 and Minecraft Java 1.21.9-1.21.10.

How to Install Geyser and Floodgate on a Minecraft Server (Paper/Spigot)

1. Download the prerequisites matching the server version and modloader.

• Geyser
• Floodgate

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Stop the server.

4. Go to the Files tab.

5. Open the plugins folder.

6. Upload the files downloaded in step 1.

7. Start the server.

8. Once fully booted, stop the server.

9. Go to the Network tab.

10. Copy an available port not in use by other mods.

11. Go to the Files tab.

12. Find the following directory: /home/container/plugins/Geyser-Spigot .

13. Open the config.yml file.

14. Under the bedrock section, on the port: line, edit the value to a port from step 10.

15. On the auth-type: line, change the value to floodgate.

16. Press the Save button.

17. Start the server.

How to Install Geyser and Floodgate on a Minecraft Server (Fabric/NeoForge)

1. Download the prerequisites matching the server version and modloader.

• Geyser
• Floodgate
• FabricAPI for Fabric servers

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Stop the server.

4. Go to the Files tab.

5. Open the mods folder.

6. Upload the files downloaded in step 1.

7. Start the server.

8. Once fully booted, stop the server.

9. Go to the Network tab.

10. Copy an available port not in use by other mods.

11. Return to the Files tab.

12. Depending on the modloader, find the following directory:

• Fabric: /home/container/config/Geyser-Fabric .
  
• NeoForge: /home/container/config/Geyser-NeoForge .
  

13. Open the config.yml file.

14. Under the bedrock section, on the port: line, edit the value to a port from step 10.

15. On the auth-type: line, change the value to floodgate.

16. Press the Save button.

17. Start the server.
