Mordhau has many maps for each gamemode, including exciting arena maps that force non-stop action. Some of these maps can change depending on which gamemode is used. Duel maps, for example, tend to remove spike traps and other obstacle hazards, ensuring a fair playing field. Duel maps can be used with the deathmatch or 'FFA' gamemode using the override detailed below.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to Config Files > Server Config from the left sidebar.
4. On the MapGameModeOverrides=() line, paste the following template between the parentheses ():
("DU_Arena","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C"), ("DU_Contraband","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C"), ("DU_Cortile","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C"), ("DU_Highlands","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C"), ("DU_Tourney","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C"), ("DU_Truce","/Game/Mordhau/Blueprints/GameModes/BP_DeathmatchGameMode.BP_DeathmatchGameMode_C")Note: The entire template is required for the changes to apply to any map. Maps cannot be changed individually.
5. Once finished editing, choose Save.
6. Start the server.
7. The duel maps will now be replaced with the FFA gamemode.
