Admin access to a Left 4 Dead 2 server is crucial for server hosts to maintain a fun and fair gaming experience for all players. Having admin access as the server host can help manage the server, enforce rules, and deal with disruptive players. Without admin access, the server may become chaotic and unplayable, as no one would kick or ban players breaking the rules or cheating.
Requirement: SourceMod must be downloaded on the server. Follow this guide for instructions.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Go to the Files tab.
4. Find the following directory: /home/containter/left4dead2/addons/sourcemod/configs .
5. Open the admins_simple.ini file.
6. Below all the info, type "SteamID" "99:z" or "SteamID" "z". Learn how to find the SteamID here.
Note: The
99will give the admin invulnerability as well.
7. Press the Save button.
8. Start the server.
