Ark: Survival Evolved offers numerous customization options for players on the server. One of the more popular settings is floating damage numbers, which allow players to accurately assess their dinos' actions without directly looking at their stats. In addition, this setting lets you see when combat is happening at a distance, as the numbers will be displayed from afar. The green numbers displayed are friendly, while the yellow numbers are damage dealt or enemy damage.
Note: Floating damage numbers can cause lag for some PCs, especially during high-intensity or large-scale battles.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Config Files tab and choose ARK User Settings.
4. Under the [ServerSettings] header, enter the following in a new line: ShowFloatingDamageText=true
5. Press the Save button.
6. Start the server.
7. Players and Dinos will now display damage numbers when attacking or being damaged.
