The settings tab allows users to conveniently access and modify various settings on their game servers, including game difficulty, world settings, and other server parameters. By using its user-friendly interface, server administrators can effortlessly fine-tune their servers to meet specific gameplay requirements, ensuring a seamless gaming experience for all players. For advanced server admins, the classic method of editing the configuration files is only a button toggle away.
1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.
2. Stop the server.
3. Select the Settings tab to expand the dropdown.
4. Open the desired Settings File. Each game will have different files available.
Note: Some games may not have config file tabs. Check out the Game Servers category for specific settings guides per game.
5. From here, the File Editor will be presented with various navigation options:
A. Startup - Contains various options applied during server start.
B. Config Files - View various configuration files for specific games.
C. Server Settings - Access helpful server-related settings such as crash detection.
D. Search Bar - Finds a specific setting to edit.
E. Config Dropdown - If a game has multiple Config Files, switch between them using the dropdown.
6. Toggle the File View option to disable the Editor UI and switch to the classic file view.
