Uploading a custom game mode to Garry's Mod servers provides players with a fresh and unique experience. Game Modes can drastically change the game, allowing users to play various game types, such as Murder or TTT. While servers come installed with sandbox and TTT, users can add more game modes through the Steam Workshop or manual installation.

How to Install a Gamemode from the Steam Workshop

1. Add the desired gamemode to a Steam Workshop Collection.

2. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

3. Stop the server.

4. Go to the Startup tab.

5. In the Workshop ID field, paste the ID numbers from step 1.

6. From the Gamemode field, enter the name of the chosen gamemode.

7. Start the server.

How to Install a Gamemode Manually

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Files tab.

4. Find the following directory: /home/container/garrysmod/gamemodes .

5. Click Create, choose Create Folder, and name it after the desired gamemode.

6. In the new folder, upload the downloaded gamemode .zip file.

7. Right-click the .zip file and choose Unarchive.

8. Start the server.

How to Change the Server's Default Gamemode

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Starbase panel.

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the Startup tab.

4. From the Gamemode field, enter the name of the chosen gamemode.
